Every February, Flaros Group of Schools comes alive with colour, music, and the unmistakable energy of Cultural Day. The annual event is one of the most anticipated occasions in our school calendar — a joyful celebration of Nigeria's rich and diverse heritage.
Students, parents, and staff arrive dressed in the traditional attire of their ethnic backgrounds, representing the full tapestry of Nigerian cultures. From Yoruba to Igbo, Hausa to Ijaw and beyond, Cultural Day is a reminder that our diversity is one of our greatest strengths.
The day features traditional dance performances, cultural music, food stalls showcasing regional cuisine, poetry recitals, and a parade of traditional costumes. Students from Nursery through Secondary all participate, making it a truly school-wide celebration.
Cultural Day was established at Flaros with a clear purpose: to help our students take pride in who they are and where they come from. In a world that moves quickly, we believe it is important to stay rooted — and to celebrate that rootedness together.
